Depending on the promise of God for her life (Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."), Cynthia Davis Jones was born in Houston, Texas and raised in the Acres Homes area of Houston as a child destined to be carried on an incredible journey from being counted as statistic to experiencing physical, emotional and spiritual freedom.
Racing through life desperately searching to accomplish the goals God set for her life, she obtained a BS in Counseling, and also acquired her license (LPC), MBA in Business Administration (Texas Southern University), and pursued an aggressive career in management at DHL Airways, after twenty-five years and pursued her career in Counseling with Harris County Probation for fifteen years, she laid down her laurels from the corporate world to surrender her life to Jesus Christ. To prepare her ministry, Cynthia acquired her license as a Chemical Dependency Counselor, she has accomplished a B.S. in Biblical Counseling (College of Biblical Studies), and a Leadership Certification from Lonestar College.
Today, Cynthia Davis Jones is a wife, mother, Entrepreneur, Disciple maker, and Community Developer. Her many successes have been: Supervising Clinical Counselors for Harris County Probation, Executive Director of the “Bridges Community Friends Inc.”, a faith based collaborative of five churches who brought social services into a low income apartment complex, she served as the director of the Family Counseling Ministry and Community Outreach Center at (Living Word Fellowship Church) and served as a co facilitator in the Marriage Ministry, Executive Director of “ANEW! Community Economic Development Corporation”, where she helps to unify, stabilize and develop economic and community resources to empower individuals, families, institutions and businesses to impact the quality of life of the disadvantaged.
Cynthia has a long history of working with hurt people. Her passion continues as she develops programs that will address the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She is the founder of “Life Change Family Services and Counseling LLC” where we are helping tochange lives from the inside out by providing Psychiatric Services and Professional Counseling, she has founded “Life Change Ministries” to facilitate a college bound ministry helping to shape college students and created an ongoing prison ministry (Better Fathers) to men that were incarcerated in the Beeville Unit. This ministry derived from a partnership that had been developed with a ministry out of North Carolina (One Day with God) to bring incarcerated men together with their children of whom they barely had any interaction with before being incarcerated. “Better Fathers” ministry allowed the men and children to attend classes on how to be fathers behind bars. She founded “ANEW! Community Economic Development Corp.” where she collaborated with community organizations to bridge gaps in social services in Harris County. Along with her many accomplishments she has traveled the United States and Africa serving as a change agent to unify and stabilize families.
